 SEEDLESS JAM

Level  1
Strawberry Jam Martini
Quantities per drink

- a Marlene Samuels creation -

Someone put the almost empty jam jar back in the fridge. There’s not enough left to warrant putting it on the breakfast table nor for toast and muffins all around, but the is plenty for a fun cocktail! This is a great treatment for using up all those negligible quantities of jams and preserves.

2 tsp. strawberry jam
2-3 ounces unflavored vodka
4 ounces cranberry juice cocktail
3-4 ice cubes
Twist of lime or lemon

Garnish: orange slice, maraschino cherry

Cookware:  Cocktail shaker

Place all ingredients but the twist into a cocktail shaker. Shake vigorously for about 30 seconds. Strain into a cocktail glass and garnish with the twist, a slice of orange and a cherry.

Variations:
  • Raspberry, blackberry, blueberry, loganberry jams
  • Mixed fruit juices
