Hot Pear Kasha

This breakfast treat not only perfumes your hot cereal but it's a great way to rescue the overripe pears on your counter and in your fruit drawer. Peel, cut and purée only the bruise-free pieces of a pear in a food processor. Try a tablespoon in your recipe; then see if you need more.
1-2 soft bruised pears
- Cook your favorite hot cereal or farina with buckwheat honey or light brown sugar.
- Mash pears with a fork and simply blend into your hot cereal or farina with buckwheat honey or light brown sugar.
