"Just ask the women at Expendable Edibles," writes Bill Daley, Food and Wine critic for The Chicago Tribune - referring to Marlene Samuels and Nancy Gershman who created this website "devoted to creatively and deliciously recycling leftovers... Ask them to pep up some old T'day standards for later meals, and the ideas pop like machine gun fire: Toss cooked vegetables into a stir-fry; top a ready-made pizza crust with shredded turkey; whip sweet potatoes into a peanut butter cookie mix; puree and boil cranberry sauce into a syrupy topping for ice cream."

Featured recipes include: Flightless Turkey Lentil Soup (from turkey carcass)Savory Pilgrim Pie (from turkey, potatoes and stuffing)Cranberry Sauce Syrup,  Sweet Potato Peanut Butter Cookies and Un-Eaten Pie Parfait (from pumpkin or pecan pie)
