Thanksgiving Recipes are all derived from the classic dishes of November 25th: some form of poultry and fowl (most likely turkey); vegetables served warm (such as string beans, corn, carrots or root vegetables); fruit-based relishes and sauces (often cranberry-based); starchy side dishes (such as sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese); and desserts (ranging from pumpkin and pecan pies to nostalgic recipes handed down through the family for generations).
